Replace Outdated Billing Solution

The Challenge

Replace the old Galaxy1 billing system with a new one, including all the customer specific addons that had been created over the years, without access to the existng billing system's databse, and with enough simplicity to allow existing Service Providers to run their own billing on the same platform. Without any downtime, please. And make it ready for next-generation billing needs.

The Solution

We created the IBIS billing platform, with smart tools for data loading and running parallel production and data comparison.

The Result

The IBIS billing solution was much appreciated. Not only by Galaxy1, but also by its customers. This made us decide to productise IBIS billing and bring it to the market. IBIS is now used by several Inmarsat Distribution Partners and Service Providers, as well as their customers.

Monitor and Control of BGAN Scada terminals

The Challenge

Provide a solution for monitoring and control of a set of mission critical BGAN terminals in a distributed Machine-to-Machine (M2M) application.

The Solution

In order to solve this, we united forces with Inmarsat to provide network information from their POP, and with Hughes to provide remote control features in their BGAN terminal firmware. Pragmalogic developed the Remote Terminal Manager solution, which integrates it all.

The Result

Remote Terminal Manager was well received and is now being used by several companies in the Utilities, Oil&Gas and Media industries, such as CNN and National Public Radio.

Inmarsat has decided to include RTM in their Product Portfolio.

Xantic BGAN Dashboard

The Challenge

In 2004, Xantic (later: Stratos, now: Inmarsat) was determined to be the very first Inmarsat Distribution partner to provide the new Inmarsat BGAN product. Part of their strategy was to provide full control to their customers. However, there were just a few months available to achiieve this.

The Solution

Pragmalogic staff (back then employed by Xantic) united forces with the product managment and billing teams to create the BGAN Dashboard (presently known as Inmarsat Dashboard). 

The Result

The ability for service providers and end users to manage their own BGAN services via the BGAN dashboard enabled Xantic to take a big step ahead of their competition end contributed significantly to their position as market leader. 

BGAN Provisioning System for NSSL

The Challenge

NSSL had been an Inmarsat Distribution Partner for quite some time, but wanted their own provisioning system rather than using the Inmarsat BSS. There was a tight budget, tight time lines and the system needed to be integrated with their existing customer portal, customer administration, billing and inventory management systems. During the project, NSSL had a total restyle of their corporate branding.

The Solution

Pragmalogic provided NSSL with a modular provisoning system that enables them and their customers to manage their BGAN, FBB and GSPS services, including activations, suspend/resume, service configuration and prepay operations.

The Result

NSSL is using the Inmarsat Provisioning system for several years now and no longer need to use the Inmarsat BSS. The Inmarsat Provisioning solution helps their service providers to manage their own services, and the full integration with their billing solution gives them a great level of accuracy.
